Heavy Lifting and Light Eating

People ask me all the time what workout I'm doing, or what am I eating. I tell people all the time that I am living heavy and eating light. It's not a big secret that lifting heavy will help add density to your muscles. But, wait, won't lifting heavy make me look like a body builder or something? No it won't. It will make you stronger, and yes you might put on some size in your lagging areas, but if you are not eating the calories to add size then you are not going to look like a body builder.

I have been following a full body heavy 3x3 protocol for about 2 months now. I have changed my diet to more of a Paleo (without being true Paleo) so I am eating lighter, but lifting heavy. In the past 2 months I have seen my strength go up, and my weight go down. I went from 183lbs to 174lbs and my bench and squats are at the 225lbs range. Somedays the squats are bit more but I am trying to keep everything going up at the same time. I don't know why I am doing this, but I feel like its a good gauge. If my squat goes up, then my bench better as well.

So here is what I am doing:
Chest 3x3
Quads 3x3
Back  3x3
Hammy's 3x3
Shoulders 3x3
Calf 3x3
Tri 3x3
Abs 3x3
Bi's 3x3

For each body part I do something different each time in the gym. So it might be incline bench one day, the next its flat dumbbell. Quads would be squats one day, split squats the next. The combinations are endless. As for supplements, I am using all Advocare products. I take my spark and catalyst in the morning before I hit the gym and that is really all I need. When I am done I will take some Arginine Extreme and Mass Impact with Rehydrate.

I plan on starting the 24 Day Challenge on Sept 15th and this is the same workout I will be using. My goal is to get to a ripped 170lbs while maintaining my strength. I will post pictures as I go.

If you are interested in the supplements I use, please leave a comment and I will get back with you.

See you at the gym!

Adam
